Scholars prepare for another Father’s Day surprise |

In line with the celebration of Father’s Day, the Scholars were tasked to do personalized t-shirts to honor their fathers. As expected, since most of them have quite dramatic family backgrounds, the Scholars couldn’t help but be emotional while doing the said task. The surprise for the Scholars’ fathers didn’t end there. As an extra gift, Teacher Monet also asked the two teams to compose a song about fathers. They were given a couple of hours to come up with complete musical score and lyrics. After coming up with their original compositions, each team was required to present it. After the two presentations, Teacher Monet chose one from the two, to be performed on the Scholars’ Gala Night. Team One Voice had that privilege. Based on Teacher Monet’s decision, he liked One Voice’s song better than Pupilars’ because the song recall was very evident, one feature that makes it possible to suit the public’s taste. Aside from the original composition, the Scholars will also do individual performances for the Gala Night. The pieces that they have to sing were distributed by Teacher Monet, and it will be up to them to come up with their own rendition of the assigned song. The Gala Night will definitely be a big night for the 16 Scholars, that is why the Dream Mentors are doing their best to keeping each of them healthy and physically fit. To start the health campaign rolling, flu shots were given to the Scholars. Everything had gone well, except for some who unluckily have fear of needles. Cris displayed a little fright of a little poke, but Apple showed the greatest fear of all. Before even entering the vaccination room, she was already crying like a little girl. Scholar Bunny, a natural mother, was the one who comforted her and walked her inside the room. And despite all her tears and whining, Apple still had the shot just like everybody else to keep all of them inside the Academy flu-free. |
One Voice almost cracked out of tune |

That morning, team One Voice was too busy having fun. All of them were in good mood. They all did their chores with smile on their faces, and they actively exchanged funny jokes. They were even energetic and jolly during their Drum ‘a’ Drop activity, so the sudden switch of mood actually came as a great surprise. Teacher Monet asked the scholars to sleep early, since the next day will definitely be a long one. Instead of sleeping early, most of them were wide awake, talking to other Scholars and joking around. Everything was going well, when all of the sudden the good ambience was replaced by an eerie feeling of conflict. In the middle of the night, team One Voice gathered up on the living area. Things didn’t seem to be going well inside their organization. Sadly, there were reports of misunderstandings and conflict of interests that were not really clear to all of them, up until it was brought up during their spontaneous forum. Teacher Monet joined them in their late night discussion. He sat in front of them as one by one they relayed all their concerns regarding the team and some of its members. Most of them had something to say, and most of it were minor observations – minor observations turned to criticisms. Some of the names that were highlighted in their discussion were Ross, Laarni, and Jet’s. Fingers were pointed from one person to another. Some of them came face to face with their shortcomings as their teammates threw each of it one at a time towards their direction. Some admitted their mistakes while others denied. What could be the reason behind the misunderstanding? What happened next after they all blurted out each of their concerns? Will One Voice still be able to sing in perfect chorus and harmony after this incident? Find out by standing by for more updates on Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. |
The scholars evaluate their performances |

Gala Night is only a few days away and the scholars are yet again to perform on stage. To better execute their presentations, it was crucial for them to see what areas need developments and what should be highlighted. Teacher Kitchy then showed the scholars their Dream Night performances and subjected it to evaluation. The Voice Coach once again emphasized muscle relaxation. She saw this in Apple’s and Christian’s presentation among others. Though Apple shed tears during the Dream Night, she still went ahead and gave a remarkable performance. Her voice was still relaxed enabling the muscles to function properly. Christian’s song and dance number was quite unique from the rest. Teacher Kitchy pointed out that the bobbing of his head actually helped relax his neck muscles and had him deliver a good presentation. Liezel on the other hand was acknowledged for her musicality. However, the stress in her voice was also evident. The scholar herself noticed how her forehead scrunched up when she sang and decided to avoid this habit. Bunny felt a little discomfort as she sang her number again. The scholar mom had a powerful song which required deep breathing and much more air supply. Teacher Kitchy then suggested her to practice deep breathing and then belting it out. The singing bunch was divided into their organizations to practice their performances. Teacher Anna coached the Pupilars while Teacher Kitchy tutored One Voice. Bugoy, who belonged to Team Pupilars, commented that he was nervous with singing on stage. Teacher Anna advised him to get used to it. Besides, the Farmer’s Son had a nice voice though he was a bit tense. With two excellent coaches challenging the scholars relentlessly, who would apply these teachings and give an outstanding performance?
